Dr. John Staley
Dr. Staley initially explored dentistry because he was intrigued by a career that did not involve being behind a desk all day. He enjoys working with his hands, problem-solving, and interacting with people—which all make the days go fast! Continuing education is important for Dr. Staley, and he enjoys keeping up with the latest techniques in dentistry. This continuously improves Staley Dental’s services and offers optimum convenience for all his valued patients.
The opportunity to raise a family and practice dentistry in Boise has fulfilled Dr. Staley’s lifelong dream. He loves living in the Boise community and feels blessed to have such a fantastic team that shares his values and work ethic.
Dr. Staley has been married to his wife, Joelle, for 27 years, and they have four daughters and one son. He loves being outdoors, golfing, skiing, cycling, and fishing in his spare time, and he can smoke a good brisket. He is also dedicated to community service through the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Dr. Chad Phillips
Dr. Chad Phillips is originally from Scottsdale, Arizona, and raised in Wichita, Kansas. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Baker University in Baldwin City, Kansas, where he also competed on the men’s golf team and spent a semester studying abroad in London. He went on to complete his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Missouri–Kansas City School of Dentistry.
After graduation, Dr. Phillips moved to Portland, Maine, where he supported his partner, Dr. Amy Wysong, during her medical school training. Their final year in New England took them across the country in a recreational vehicle (RV) for her clinical rotations, an experience that allowed Dr. Phillips to work as a locum tenens (temporary) dentist in several practices and provide teledentistry care for a Maine-based public health clinic. Both he and Dr. Wysong share a passion for global healthcare and have worked in New Zealand and volunteered on medical brigade teams in Honduras.
In 2025, the couple made Boise their home as Dr. Wysong began her family medicine residency at Full Circle Health. Dr. Phillips is grateful to serve the Boise community and is committed to creating a comfortable, supportive environment for patients of all ages. He values the blend of science, artistry, and problem-solving in dentistry and enjoys partnering with patients to build treatment plans that align with their goals. Outside the office, he enjoys photography, golf, hiking, and exploring new restaurants throughout the Treasure Valley.
